In America, we are fortunate to have better than average STEM education in our schools but what’s often missing is education ABOUT careers.

Enter the STEM Van.

Adults may understand how science, technology, engineering and mathematics relate to computers, robotics and biology but as technology evolves, STEM is embedded more and more in fashion, food, games, television and just about everything we interact with.

The STEM Van connects professionals from a wide array of industries with students to share their career journey and encourage young people to follow their dreams. Through a process we call “Reveal Engineering,” scientist and engineers will dissect products and software they were involved in creating and show how STEM was used to create the final item. We’re not showing how to make something, we’re showing how something was made. Our mobile platform allows us to bring the program wherever it’s needed. All you need is to assemble a curious audience.

We believe our approach will help students identify what they want to do once they leave high school and transform any anxiety into anticipation. We want to dispel any myths about certain careers, ensure minorities and women are equally involved and most importantly, share the excitement of where a technical education can take them.
